When Sam and Gilly stop at an abandoned hut to rest for the night on their way back to the Wall, they see two crows land on a nearby heart tree before going inside. Later that night, as they discuss baby names and their fathers, they suddenly hear a whole murder of crows cawing outside. They go to investigate and see the same White Walker that spared Sam at the Fist of the First Men approaching. Sam tries to fend it off with his sword, but the sword shatters as soon as the White Walker touches it. The Walker then bears down on Gilly, clearly intent on taking her baby, but Sam runs up behind it and stabs it in the back with a dagger made of dragonglass. The Walker shrieks, falls to the ground and disintegrates as Sam and Gilly flee.
As night falls, an exhausted Gendry manages to make it back to Eastwatch and tells Davos to send the raven. The next morning, Beric and the Hound discover that Thoros has succumbed to his wounds and the Hound notes that Beric is now on his last life. Jon sees that the Night King and his White Walker lieutenants have arrived on the scene and Beric suggests that they focus on killing the Night King since he is the one who reanimated the majority of the wights.
After the premiere stays anchored in Charlie’s side of their connection, we spend more time with Nick here, although the framing still makes sure we’re with Charlie in his moments of anxiety—checking the hair in the mirror before he heads over to Nick’s, hesitating to ring the bell—lest we lose our ability to understand his own perspective. But the balance starts to shift during their “Snow Day” together. Nick doesn’t think twice about inviting Charlie over to his as he’s showing him photos of Nellie, and he enjoys their time playing video games, horsing around after Charlie smokes him at Mario Kart, and then playing in the snow with Nellie without any of the hesitation Charlie had at the front door. But the second his mother points out that he’s “more himself” around Charlie, it’s like a switch flips: what does that even mean?
After mostly building a connection between Charlie and Nick through “micro affections” in the premiere, “Crush” is the full court press, with Euros Lyn’s direction firing on all cylinders to make us believe in romance as Isaac wants to. The sunlit snowball fight is the apex of this particular effort, and it’s no coincidence that after starting to feel the sparks during his time at Charlie’s, Nick flips through the photos from that day. Reflecting on that frolic in the snow unlocks something in Nick that he had never really considered, which runs deeper than the question he types into his browser to bring the episode to a close. It’s not as simple as whether or not he’s gay: it’s a question of who the version of him in the photo with his rugby lads has been for all these years.
Po is playing inside, when she remembers the snow. The Teletubbies watch an international Christmas insert from Finland, in which a group of children sing and act out a traditional Finnish Christmas song; "Tonttujen Jouluyo". Then the Teletubbies explore Teletubbyland; they're very excited when they discover that the house, trees and everything else is covered in snow. They each find an object covered in snow and think that they've seen something like it before. The Teletubbies discover they have each found their favorite thing and are very happy playing in the snow. Po is so happy; she rides her scooter too fast and rides into a tree. Snow falls off the branches and now Po is covered in snow too.
In the early scenes, Jayce tries to enter his apartment while the perpetrators are on the run. As he enters the room, he catches a glimpse of Vi before seemingly being transported to a memory. In the snippet, Jayce and Caitlyn struggle through a snowstorm before Caitlyn falls senseless on the snow. A hooded mage then transports Jayce to a warm place in the foothills.
Before he can attack, however, Aang arrives, riding on the back of an otter penguin, and knocks Zuko off his feet. Dismounting the animal, Aang uses airbending and his staff to send a spray of snow at Zuko and his men; he stands and faces the prince, asking him if he is "looking for [him]". Zuko realizes and is shocked to discover that the Avatar is merely a twelve-year-old boy rather than the ancient master he was expecting. As he voices this, Aang's true identity is revealed to the entire village, as he had never told them he was the Avatar. Zuko quickly regains his focus and wastes no time in launching a series of fire blasts at Aang. Aang is able to defend himself with airbending, but after a few seconds, realizing that Zuko's attacks would inevitably strike the people he has befriended, he asks Zuko if his surrender will ensure the safety of the villagers. Relaxing his stance, Zuko nods, as Katara begs Aang not to go with the firebenders, his soldiers take Aang aboard as a prisoner and they depart for the Fire Nation. 781b155fdc
